California Senate Unanimously Passes Film Tax Credit Extension

California’s tax credit program for film and television productions would be renewed until 2030 under a bill approved in the Senate on Monday.

The bill (S.B. 485) by Sen. Anthony Portantino extends the current tax credit program, with $330 million in annual funding five more years from its current expiration date of June 30, 2025. It passed the Senate 36-0 and now moves to the Assembly for consideration.
