McDermott Will & Emery will add Jeffrey Maydew, Meaghan A. Wolfe and Michael W. Hardgrove as partners on its tax practice, the law firm announced Thursday.
Maydew and Wolfe, both based in Chicago, join from Baker McKenzie where Maydew chaired the Global Tax Planning and Transactions Practice Group. Boston-based Hardgrove was previously at DLA Piper, where he served as a member of the firm’s Global Tax Committee.
- Maydew has more than 20 years of experience representing multinational organizations, with a practice focused on domestic and international tax planning for corporate transactions.
- Wolfe represents multinational organizations on matters related to federal income tax and international tax planning. She also works with clients on tax controversy and dispute resolution.
- An adviser to public and private companies, Hardgrove’s expertise lies with designing and executing defense strategies related to cross-border transactions.
- “All are tax practitioners of the highest caliber and well known in global markets, and our clients will immediately benefit from their arrival,” Jane Wells May, global head of McDermott’s tax practice, said in a statement.
