Companies are asking for a narrower scope of information reporting under the global minimum tax and looking for more clarity on one of its rules, business representatives said Thursday at an OECD consultation.
“Most multinational enterprises are actively trying to prepare so that they can comply with the introduction of the global rules,” Alan McLean, chair of Business at OECD’s tax committee and a tax adviser at Royal Dutch Shell, said at the consultation. “We would urge all jurisdictions and the delegates to focus on making these new complex rules manageable for business.”
