Worker Classification Forums to Inform Rule Set by DOL (1)

The US Department of Labor wants the public’s input on how it should approach worker classification issues as the agency moves forward with a new regulation.

The DOL announced in a blog post Friday that it will host two forums this month on independent contractor classification, as the Biden administration proceeds in the wake of a Texas court reinstating a Trump-era standard that made it easier for workers to be classified as independent contractors.
