WeWork and its embattled former chief executive officer were sued by his ex-chief of staff for alleged pregnancy and gender discrimination, the latest legal woe facing the company after its failed initial public offering.
The complaint was filed Thursday with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s New York office on behalf of Medina Bardhi, who worked closely with the recently ousted WeWork CEO Adam Neumann, according to a statement from her lawyer and a copy of the complaint. The suit also names WeWork Chief Legal Officer Jennifer Berrent.
