Virus Response Keeps Labor Agency Open, but Telework Expands (1)

The Department of Labor is keeping its doors open amid the coronavirus pandemic, while scrambling to balance its own workforce’s telework needs against its mission to assist employers and protect the welfare of the country’s workers.

DOL employees in the Washington, D.C., region are being given the option to telework, if they meet eligibility requirements, from Monday through April 3, Deputy Labor Secretary Patrick Pizzella said in an email Monday to staff.
