U.S. Department of Agriculture workers affected by an upcoming relocation to the Midwest will receive a month’s salary and extended telework options as part of a deal struck between the agency and the employees’ union Aug. 9.
Employees will now be able to work remotely until at least Dec. 30, allowing them additional time to relocate. Previously, employees were told they must be in the new office by Sept. 30.
