Union Seeks Immediate Block on Trump Federal Worker Order

An executive order from President Donald Trump limiting the amount of time federal workers can spend on union activities would be blocked immediately if a federal court agrees with a union’s request.

The American Federation of Government Employees told a federal court in Washington that it would be “irreparably harmed” if it has to wait for final action on a lawsuit it filed against the executive order on May 30. The union filed the motion for a preliminary injunction June 14. The union also filed an amended complaint expanding its earlier arguments.
