UAW’s Bob King Credits Coalition Building
For Union Gains in Negotiations, Organizing

Building networks and coalitions is essential for strengthening the United Auto Workers, UAW President Bob King told union delegates Feb. 3.

In the keynote address for the union’s annual National Community Action Program Legislative Conference, King said, “If we don’t build global networks, if we don’t build global allies and solidarity, we’re not going to be effective at getting the best wages and benefits and pensions and working conditions for our membership.”
