Trump Order Limiting Immigration Gets Reinstated by 9th Circuit

President Donald Trump’s order limiting immigration by those who lack approved health insurance or the resources to pay for reasonably foreseeable medical needs can go into effect, after the Ninth Circuit lifted an injunction against the order Thursday.

Relying heavily on Trump v. Hawaii—the Supreme Court case upholding the so-called Muslim ban—the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit held that Trump was likely within his powers under Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act in issuing the order.
