Three Labor Department Nominees Set for Senate Committee Vote

The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions has scheduled a June 16 hearing to consider the nominations of three people for senior Labor Department spots, offering lawmakers a chance to send them to the floor for final approval from the full chamber.

The committee in a brief notice published Wednesday said it would have a hearing on Rajesh Nayak, the nominee for DOL policy chief; Taryn Williams, nominee for head of the Office of Disability Employment Policy; and Doug Parker, nominee for administrator of the Occupational Safety and Health administration.
