Textron Aviation Beats Worker’s Employment Discrimination Claims

Textron Aviation Inc. won dismissal Wednesday of a Black employee’s racial discrimination claims, after the Tenth Circuit found his supervisor’s alleged racial animus couldn’t be imputed to the entire team that decided to place him on unpaid leave.

Al Wilson alleges he was put on unpaid medical leave after calling the company hotline to complain about his supervisor not allowing him to rotate jobs to accommodate hand, wrist, and shoulder pain.

Wilson presented a co-worker’s statement that the supervisor treated him differently than white workers by not allowing him to rotate tasks.
