Tennessee Beats Suit Over State’s Early Ending of Covid Benefits

A group of Tennessee residents who say the state violated their rights when it discontinued its participation in the additional $600 unemployment pay and other benefits provided under the federal government’s Covid-19 relief package two months before they expired lack a viable claim, a federal judge in Nashville ruled.
