A lawsuit challenging a Trump-era overhaul of the lottery system for skilled foreign worker visas has been rejected by a federal judge.

Several hundred applicants who were not selected for H-1B visas sued last year over the lottery electronic registration system implemented by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in 2019. The plaintiffs alleged the new program led to rampant fraud by allowing consultants to register multiple times on behalf of individuals, artificially boosting their chances of selection.
