Sides Clash on National $15 Minimum Wage Legislation (1)

Members of both parties agreed during a House labor committee hearing that they wanted to help workers. On whether a Democratic effort to raise the nation’s decade-old minimum wage to $15 would do that, they didn’t agree at all.

The Feb. 7 hearing comes amid the Fight for $15 campaign, which has helped trigger a groundswell of low-wage worker protests and encourage some states to raise minimum wages in recent years.
