Security Company Escapes Diabetic Employee’s Discrimination Suit

Champion National Security isn’t liable to a former employee who claims he was fired due to discrimination over his diabetes-related condition, but who the company claims was let go because he fell asleep on the job, the Fifth Circuit ruled.

Champion, which provides uniformed security services to companies, employed Charles Clark as a personnel manager. Clark is an insulin-dependent Type II diabetic.
