Seasonal Worker Visa Competition Looks Increasingly Like a Race

Demand is now so high for seasonal foreign worker visas that the Labor Department will be marking the time applications are submitted down to the millisecond.

Starting July 3, employers seeking H-2B visas will be able to file their applications with the agency at 12:00:00.000 a.m. Eastern Time on the appropriate day, the agency said in a June 29 notice. Employers can only submit applications 75 to 90 calendar days before they need the workers.
