Scalia Faces Old Foes in Return to Labor

Eugene Scalia is on the cusp of returning to the Labor Department and it could tee up tensions between the agency and one of the unions that has regularly engaged with the Trump White House.

Taking Sides: Nearly 17 years before President Donald Trump picked the Gibson Dunn partner as his next labor secretary, Scalia quit his job as labor solicitor in the George W. Bush administration after winding up on the losing end of a drawn-out legal dispute over whether to support the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in a union democracy matter.
