San Diego Plastic Surgeon Drops Antitrust Suit After Settlement

A pediatric plastic surgeon dropped his claims against two San Diego hospitals after settling his federal lawsuit blaming them for a scheme by senior administrators to prevent him from working for them.

Jason Toranto’s suit accused another plastic surgeon, Daniel Jaffurs, of defaming him to Children’s Hospital of Orange County staff who were considering bringing him on. It also alleged a conspiracy to prevent Taranto from working at Rady’s Children’s Specialists of San Diego.
