Prison Group Won’t Fight Detainees’ Pay Class Action in High Court

GEO Group Inc won’t get a chance to derail a 60,000-member class action accusing the private prison operator of violating state and federal law with its work programs for federal immigration detainees.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 1 said it won’t review a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit that allowed current and former detainees housed in a Colorado facility to proceed as a class.
