Postal Service Must Face Worker’s PTSD Discrimination Lawsuit

The U.S. Postal Service lost its bid to end a lawsuit claiming it discriminated against an employee who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, although the agency will escape her claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress, a federal court in Louisiana said.

Tracy Segura works as a field recruiter in USPS’s New Orleans office. One day in 2019 she was screamed at and followed by an unfamiliar co-worker who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and had recently been released from a psychiatric facility.
