Papa John’s Delivery Drivers Get Early Win in Work Expenses Case

Papa John’s delivery drivers’ wage claims will advance with the law on their side, after a federal court in Ohio ruled that employers must abide by U.S. Department of Labor guidelines for reimbursing pizza delivery drivers’ vehicle-related expenses.

Tammy Hatmaker and 10 other pizza delivery drivers sued Papa John’s Ohio LLC, six other franchises, and two individuals who own and operate 73 Papa John’s locations in Ohio, Nevada, and North Carolina, alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and state minimum wage provisions.
