Oracle Digs in Against Trump DOL Over Pay Bias

The Labor Department and Oracle Corp. have been locked in litigation over allegations of systematic pay discrimination for the duration of Donald Trump’s presidency, and the merits of that lawsuit could be decided any day.

Political Dynamics: The lawsuit “would have been settled for nothing,” or for a much smaller sum than the $400 million the DOL says its worth, if it hadn’t been filed just before Trump took office, a former agency official said. That’s because Oracle chairman Larry Ellison and current CEO Safra Catz are allies of Trump, the official told Paige Smith.
