OPM Information Officer Seymour Exits; Hearing Canceled

Donna Seymour, the Office of Personnel Management‘s chief information officer, announced Feb. 22 that she is retiring, two days before she was to testify at a hearing on a pair of massive OPM data breaches that were disclosed in 2015.

“Leaving OPM at this time was a very tough decision for me, but I feel it is in the agency’s best interest that my presence does not distract from the great work this team does every single day for this agency and the American people,” Seymour said in an e-mail to agency employees.
