Convicted of Embezzling From Union

A jury convicted the former business manager for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 164 in Paramus, N.J., Nov. 26 of stealing $221,530 from the union by making arrangements for his then-girlfriend, whom he later married, to be paid by the union for unauthorized and unnecessary work (United States v. Dressel ).
