The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs will extend for 60 days a public comment period on its proposed Equal Pay Report on employee compensation for federal contractors, the agency announced Oct. 31.
The comment period originally was set to end Nov. 6 on the OFCCP’s proposed rule under Executive Order 11,246 that would require federal contractors annually to submit summary pay data on their employees, classified by race and sex (151 DLR AA-1, 8/6/14). But under the newly announced extension, interested parties will have until Jan. 5, 2015, to submit comments, the agency said.
