Defense contractors will have to wait for the Obama administration to decide how much executive compensation is allowable under federal contracts because of conflicting provisions in the fiscal year 2014 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 3304) and the Bipartisan Budget Act (H.J. Res. 59), a Senate staff member told Bloomberg BNA Dec. 20.
The NDAA, approved Dec. 19 on an 84-15 vote, caps allowable executive compensation at $625,000. The Bipartisan Budget Act, approved one day earlier, sets the cap at $487,000.
The president is expected to sign both bills.
