NYC Housing Authority Win Tossed in Ex-Manager’s Bias Suit

A Black former New York City Housing Authority manager’s suit alleging that then-Speaker of the New York City Council Melissa Mark-Viverito requested she be replaced with a “Spanish manager” was revived Thursday.

The district court improperly excluded two incidents Allison Williams offered in support of her claims, and a reasonable jury could find that the totality of the circumstances established an unlawful hostile work environment, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said.
