NLRB Blesses Securitas’ Gag Order on Ongoing Investigation

One of the nation’s largest security services providers could lawfully demand that an employee stay quiet about his testimony in a workplace investigation, the National Labor Relations Board ruled in its first application of new precedent.

The board said Tuesday that Securitas Security Services USA complied with federal labor law because its confidentiality instruction to a worker who was a witness was specifically limited to the life of the investigation.
