The United Auto Workers is again going global with its fight to organize workers at the Nissan auto plant in Canton, Miss.
The UAW and IndustriALL, a global union federation, have asked the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development to intervene with Nissan North America’s parent companies. Workers have alleged interference with their organizing rights, the UAW told Bloomberg BNA Dec. 28. The plant employs close to 5,000 workers.
