New York Postpones State Worker Pay Hike for Fourth Time

New York state workers won’t see a pay raise until at least April, after the state again postponed a scheduled 2% wage hike, state officials confirmed Friday.

The 90-day across-the-board freeze on pay increases affects approximately 132,000 state employees, including those working at state hospitals, with the transportation department, and at correctional facilities, according to the state budget office.
