Employers in New York state must offer job protections and paid sick leave for workers quarantined as a result of the novel coronavirus.
The state Assembly and Senate passed legislation with the new leave and worker protection requirements Wednesday as the number of cases in the state climbed to 2,382, and the hospitalization rate of those who tested positive reached 23%.
