New Jersey Lawmakers Pass $15 Minimum Wage Bill

New Jersey lawmakers on Jan. 31 approved legislation that would increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 by 2024.

Gov. Phil Murphy (D), who has been stumping with lawmakers for the proposal since they jointly announced it Jan. 17, is expected to sign the bill (A-15/S-15).

If signed, New Jersey would become the fourth state after California, New York, and Massachusetts to establish a $15 minimum wage.
