New Jersey Governor Offers Easier Road for #MeToo Complaints

New Jersey would lower the legal bar for workers to bring sexual harassment complaints as part of a broader overhaul backed by Gov. Phil Murphy.

The Democratic governor announced the proposed legislation along with regulatory action targeting the casino industry and occupations governed by the state’s professional licensing boards. The actions followed recommendations the state attorney general’s Division of Civil Rights made in a newly released report.
