N.J. Teachers Lose Appeal Over Fees Taken From Pay Post Union

A recent U.S. Supreme Court opinion failed to help New Jersey teachers who sought to recover the union dues and fees automatically deducted from their paychecks after they left the labor organization, because contract obligations still exist, the Third Circuit said in an unpublished opinion.

The teachers signed a contract agreeing to let the dues and fees be automatically deducted from their paychecks.
