MUFG U.S. Executive’s Sex, Race Bias Claims Revived by 2d Cir.

MUFG Union Bank N.A. must face an Asian American former “director-level” program manager’s claims that she was treated unequally because of her sex and race, the Second Circuit ruled Nov. 19.

Devayani Khanna alleges in her April 2018 lawsuit that her white male boss, Financial Crimes Project Management Office head Robert Nolen, held her to a higher performance standards than her white male co-workers despite providing her with fewer resources and assigning her lesser responsibilities, the appeals court said.
