As the weather warms, the safety of lawn and tree care workers is a growing concern.
A placid, grassy hill becomes a hazard if workers aren’t aware of the risks.
“During the growing season, I would count at least one lawn mower-related fatality a week that basically comes down to someone operating a riding mower on a slope,” said Bob Mann, director of state and local government relations for the National Association of Landscape Professionals in Fairfax, Va.
