More Bias Audits in Store for Federal Contractors: DOL Official

More anti-discrimination audits and a new method of managing those audits are on the docket for federal contractors, according to a Labor Department top official.

The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs is looking to boost the number of scheduled audits from 1,750 in fiscal year 2018 to about 3,500 in fiscal year 2019, acting director Craig Leen told the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in testimony on Nov. 2.
