Montana Covid-19 Shield Bill Goes to Governor, Indiana to Follow

Montana businesses, non-profits, and health-care providers will have protection from liability lawsuits related to Covid-19 injuries or deaths under legislation headed to Gov. Greg Gianforte for his signature.

The state’s Senate voted 32-18 in favor of the measure on Thursday. Montana’s House of Representatives passed the bill two days earlier.

Similar bills in Indiana, Alabama, South Dakota, and Wisconsin could follow within days.
