Mercy Health Is Religious Employer Exempt From Anti-Bias Laws

A former employee at a Mercy Health hospital can’t pursue claims he was fired for refusing a job-required flu shot that conflicted with his Seventh-day Adventist beliefs because Mercy and related entities are exempt from federal and state anti-bias laws, the Western District of Oklahoma ruled.
