Medina Spirit Trainer Baffert Sues After N.Y. License Pulled (1)

Bob Baffert, the trainer of Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit, sued the New York Racing Association on Monday for temporarily suspending his trainer’s license after the horse tested positive for steroids.

Baffert seeks a preliminary and permanent injunction to overturn the suspension, which precludes him from entering horses into races at all New York race tracks, including Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Saratoga Race Course.
