Lyft Driver Drops Suit Alleging N.Y. Worker Misclassification

An ex-Lyft Inc. driver who accuses the company of misclassifying him as an independent contractor agreed to drop his would-be class case, according to a stipulation filed in federal court in New York.

Former New York City driver Irwan Chandra sued the ride-hailing platform on behalf of himself and similarly situated drivers in the state in 2021. He and Lyft filed a stipulation of voluntary dismissal with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
