A former attorney for an Ohio beauty salon defeated defamation and tortious inference claims brought by an eyelash extension technician who claimed he tried to enforce a noncompete agreement he should’ve known was unenforceable.
Charles Koenig may have misconstrued the salon’s noncompete in letters to plaintiff Abbey Silveous and her potential new employer, but he is entitled to attorney immunity because Silveous failed to present sufficient evidence that he acted in bad faith, the Ohio Court of Appeals, 10th District said.
