LABOR BRIEF: Uber, Lyft Influencers Find Democratic Allies Tough to Sway

Uber and Lyft are fighting a multifaceted legal and lobbying war against moves to force the companies to switch drivers to employees from independent contractors. Despite enlisting some familiar faces from the Obama administration, the rideshare giants have found that Democrats pose the biggest obstacle.
