Labor Board Resumes Union Elections After Brief Suspension

The National Labor Relations Board will resume conducting union elections on April 6, the board announced Wednesday.

The NLRB temporarily suspended all union elections on March 19, citing the public health crisis created by the novel coronavirus. The board previously said it would reevaluate the policy by Friday.

The pause was criticized by the largest unions in the country and Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.), the top Democrat on the House Education and Labor Committee.
