Labor Board Closes Three Regional Offices for Coronavirus Tests

The National Labor Relations Board has shuttered offices in New York, Chicago, and Detroit while a staffer in each of those locations is tested for coronavirus.

The NLRB announced Sunday that it would indefinitely close the doors and postpone hearings at the three regional offices. The move comes as much of the agency’s Washington, D.C., office is closed through Monday after a labor board employee had “close contact” with someone who tested positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, according to the agency.
