Kentucky Lawmakers Seek to Keep Harassment Testimony Under Wraps

Three Kentucky state representatives, including the former House Speaker Jeff Hoover, are asking a court to seal allegations from a state worker who says the legislators sexually assaulted her on the job.

On Nov. 7 the Franklin County Circuit Court will hear arguments from Hoover, Rep. James DeCesare (R) and Rep. Michael Meredith (R) that a deposition from a House staffer detailing sexual harassment allegations shouldn’t be publicly accessible, despite the actions allegedly occurring in the state building and coming from elected officials.
