Judge Should Decide Hog Slaughter Line Speed Case, Union Says

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union has asked a federal judge to decide an ongoing case that could halt an increase in hog slaughter production lines.

The filing comes as the U.S. Department of Agriculture awaits a decision from Judge Joan N. Ericksen of the U.S. District Court District for the District of Minnesota on whether to halt and remand the same case back to the agency for further rulemaking.
