JBS to Pay $4M to Settle Government’s Hiring Bias Allegations (1)

JBS USA Lux S.A. and Swift Beef Co. will pay $4 million to more than 12,500 workers as part of a hiring discrimination settlement reached Nov. 14 with the Labor Department’s federal contractor compliance agency.

The consent decree signals the end to two lawsuits brought against JBS USA by the DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, one in 2014 and the other in 2016.
