Jack in the Box Loses Bid to Undo Class Claim over Oregon Wages

Jack in the Box Inc. lost its bid to partially decertify a class action in federal court alleging that it violated Oregon law when it deducted the cost of no-slip shoes from employees’ paychecks without required authorization.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon said individualized questions wouldn’t necessarily overwhelm the common issues that justified certification of the class.
